Being I am retired I like to spend my time reading books. I read everything from fiction to mystery. One book I read was talking about a brief encounter. I remember my first brief encounter was a cat fight between my parents and myself. Now that is my definition of a brief encounter. Another definition of brief encounter would be like a meeting that is totally unexpected or unplanned and you are faced to deal with it.

Now did you also know there was a movie that was called Brief Encounter, and I think if I remember correctly some of the cast members were Trevor Howard, and I think Joyce Carey. I don’t know why that name Carey stands out but I am thinking it is because of Drew Carey.

Now when you are talking about Drew Carey, he is my number 1 idol. I watch him every chance I get and I just love it when people are on his show and they wear these pink tee shirts that has a heart in the middle of the shirt and they say something like we love you Drew Carey. Those shirts with the heart are really cute, but some are so big you can’t see the letters some times. I remember when I was growing up my idol was Elvis Presley, then Billy Ray Cyrus. Now my idol is Drew Carey.

I am getting off the subject of books, but these are some things I just wanted to share with you all. Being retired is great, but can also be boring at times, that is why I took up reading. Now I also have a computer and was told I could read books on line but there is a small fee for them.

I remember my daughter coming over one time and was using the computer. She had asked me if I ever surfed the net for like looking for a guy. I know she was hinting around to see if I ever went on line to look for a dating service. I just let her think I had no idea of what she was talking about. After all, us retired people don’t want to give away all of our secrets. Who knows, my heart throb could be at the Library.
