Adults Type

This story is about my parent’s proposal. My mom said it was so neat she had to share it with me. They had beendating for well over a year and it was getting to where they did everything together. It finally got to the point when they weredating so much, people would see them coming and thought they were married instead of justdating.

They would tell us about some of their dating experiences and when they were telling us all we could do was laugh. Some of their dating experiences were like doing the chores together out on the farm where my dad helped his dad. Mom would talk about riding in the combine and the tractor. Mom told us one time that she and dad were talking about dating on a tractor. What she meant by that was one morning they were riding a tractor to school to celebrate something, and every one at school said how cute of a couple they would make.

Not many people knew they were already dating, except for their close friends, and their parents. You know how it was in the older days about you shouldbe datingsomeone in your own circle. It’s like I live below the tracks and he lives over the tracks. At least that is how mom described it.

Another dating experience they had was going square dancing. It was a school function so it was approved by their parents. I really think my parents are so much in love and they are happy to share all of their experiences.

They starting talking about another dating experience was going to candle light dinner and then watching a movie afterwards. They still remember the café they went to and they take the time to show us every time we are out on a drive.

Since mom and dad have talked about their dating experience, I have been watching other couples to see how much they are in love. I see some people that can hardly walk and still holding hands, people in wheel chairs and still just as close as the day they were married. I know love is so grand and I really hope in the future I will find the right man like my mom and dad did.

I can still tell my dad and mom is still dating like they are only 18 yet. They do not look like they have been married for as long as they have. At least to me they don’t. I can't imagine my parents dating for over 18 years.

I think dating is a must for people just to get to know the person you hope to marry in time to come.
