The other day I was walking down the street and in front of me was this older couple holding hands. I would say about in their 80’s or so. You could tell they were so much in love because they were holding hands and were walking so close together. After walking for awhile I saw this café and they went into the same café as I did.

It was so nice to see this gentleman pulling out the chair for his wife, considering you do not see that in this town very often. I was kind of ease dropping on their conversation and I could hear her telling him about smelling the aroma of fresh baked apple pie. I made up my mind that I was going to order some apple pie with ice cream on top of it.

As I was sitting there eating my apple pie, I started daydreaming about a dating site I had looked at before I took my walk. On this dating site, it had a picture of this couple that met through this site and were telling about how happy they both were. The gentleman was in his late 50’s and the lady was in her early 60’s. They started telling about how it was love at first sight and this was their second marriage for both of them. It was such a sweet story on this dating site, it made you want to cry. It was like they were doing some soul searching and found each other at last.

I have always wondered if these dating sites are for real, or are they just for people to look at and wonder like I do. I have never talked to anyone that has joined one, but I do read the stories on them and they seem real successful on getting partners. I guess I am the type of person that would like to meet a person in real life, instead of off the internet. My feeling is you never know what you might meet on the internet compared to real life. Sometimes the internet can be real scary if you do not know what you are doing, like me.

You hear horror stories almost every day on the internet about someone stalking someone, or someone off the internet finding out where someone lives. I guess that is why I think twice about a dating site also. I am a person that would lot rather be safe than to be a victim of someone.
